  • What on Earth has Happened to our Kids!?

by Robert Anthony September 5th 2024 I think, more than any group on earth, I grieve most for the children. I'm serious. Many of you reading this are well-grown, many of you your kids are full grown and you are now grandparents. How can we really understand what our youth are going thru living in times like these!? It's so hard to understand that school shootings are actually a thing . Teachers, Principals, School Administration literally have to go thru training now so they know what to do in case of a school shooting. It's appalling to me that this is our reality - and yet there is not one ounce of my heart angry towards these children. The one thing NO ONE said, and when I say NO ONE, I mean not one article, opinion piece, op-ed, news clip, etc. NO ONE mentioned that President Trump's shooters was only 20 years old and hardly an adult! Quite literally a couple years ago the very young men that took a shot at President Trump, killed two others in attendance and wounded several others, was in high school! Therefore Trump's assassination attempt is almost comparable with a school shooting. Although no politician wants to speak to this. It scores everyone more political points if Thomas Matthew Crooks was a full grown, complex-man filled with some political grievances and other mysterious psychology. In my opinion the story quickly went away because it was just so sad, the reality of what actually happened. What was this young man so upset about? What drove him to such extremes to try and kill President Trump, even willing to shoot and kill others!? But this, in our world, is not newsworthy. The last thing our news organizations want to do is actually look at themselves with honest eyes, taking an account, saying to themselves, "Maybe we did something to contribute to this? Maybe our hateful and hurtful rhetoric and non-stop divisive and hateful language is weary on the morale of the nation!?" And... "Maybe we need to make a change... for the sake of the children!" But no. That's not going to happen anytime soon. As much as I hope this article finds its way before key decision makers and rapidly influences political campaigns, news cycles and America as we know it - I am not a very fantastical person, I tend to be hopeful but I'm well aware that these power hungry people running the world are not much known to repent. So the children continue to cry out!! They continue to shoot each other and worse. This most recent school shooting is merely another event in a long line of mass shootings and school shootings that have hit national headlines. And how many tragedies among our children are happening daily but without being newsworthy? Spend some time at juvenile hall, or within the halls of children's court throughout any major city in America and you will get a quick education. Children are killing children basically daily in our 1st world, wealthy, "advanced" nation. I used to work with juvenile kids as a minister and mentor. I have actually had much experience with this over the years. When most of us were kids the most horrible thing to happen would be maybe a knife fight, or maybe someone was accidentally killed during our high school years? But over the past thirty or forty years, our nation has changed dramatically. Gangs are no longer made up of eighteen to twenty five year old young men, fighting for seniority and power within their neighborhoods. Today's gangs are 10-year-olds, sometimes even 8 or 9 year olds, and they are getting guns and using them younger than ever! While I was working in Juvenile hall I met many young gangs kids who fit this description: 8, 9 and 10 year olds willing to go to war with a rival gang and even kill other children! What on earth happened to our country!? (But the divisive and hateful political leaders will rage on....) I met one young man in Juvenile Hall who was about 14. He was going away for at least 1 year for stealing a car, loading up the trunk full of stolen guns and ammo and cruising around Las Vegas to sell it to his friends and fellow gang members!? He ended up in a high speed chase throughout the streets of Las Vegas before he crashed and killed his best friend. He wept bitterly as he told me about his regret and shame. I can still remember meeting his dad like it was yesterday - I went to court on his behalf to testify of how great he had been doing in Juvy. His dad was totally stoic, he seemed totally and completely uninterested in taking any ownership of this as his failures as a father, his heart was so hard, standing next to me angry towards his first born boy. The judge actually called him out for it in court. (His father was obviously an ex-con himself. Probably an ex or even current "Neo-Nazi" or "White Power" affiliate by the way he was tattooed and dressed.) In Juvy none of these kids had dads around. I would estimate 1 in 20 had a father or father figure living at home. But do a study about all the other troubled-youth. Do a study about many the school shooters in our nation. They all have about the same general story: no parents or uninterested parents, in and out of the foster-care system, drugs, almost all of them are diagnosed with something very early on in life and taking very powerful psych-med's!! (Oh that is another issue!! The Psych-Med's are a Huge Issue that no one wants to talk about!!) And how many of these school shooters are on very powerful Psych-Med's!? Has anyone looked into this about President Trump's shooter?? I'll bet $1,000 he was diagnosed something and on some very potent and mind-warping psych-meds. If these drugs were working, I promise I wouldn't be so upset about it writing to you today. Certainly you can feel my emotion in what I am writing. I was there several times in Juvy, when the drug lady came in and passed out psych-pills as if they were candy. And then, if the kids didnt take their drugs!? They were in a lot of trouble. The prison guards would literally stand there watching them to make sure they swallowed!! I wonder how Big Pharma would respond to such a case study!? What if we found out that the overwhelming majority of these school shooters and kids who are killing each other are all diagnosed with a supposed "mental disorder" and pumped up with some of the strongest medications ever given to kids in the history of the world!! How would it go for Big Pharma if our Congress cared enough to look into this - to open the books and actually take an account to what they are doing to our hurting children in foster care, juvenile hall, Department of Human Services, impoverished inner cities and broken families throughout the US!? I'm going to save you the suspense, What Congress would find is that these powerful mind-drugs are destroying our children - especially the most vulnerable among us... I have looked into this some and know for a fact that many of these kids were on heavy psych-meds when they performed their school shootings. I have written about it in the past. Many of these kids had various "mental health" diagnosis' and many of them were on Big Pharma's psych meds. (But no one wants to let that fact leak out!!) Even since Trump's attempted assassination I have been following the news cycles waiting for one single article grieving for this young man, a young man who was merely a child just a short couple years earlier, wondering what on earth was the matter with him that drove him to do something so terrible. But the article, the empathy, the love for our hurting children doesn't show up.... ANYWHERE! And it breaks my heart. What do the kids need to do!? They are crying out, especially for the past 20-30 years! Like shouting with the biggest mega-phone they can find, "Someone help us!! We are so scared and alone, hopeless and afraid... but all our leaders seem to only want to fight. We don't know where to go, we dont know anywhere in the world that is safe or beautiful. Our parents want nothing to do with us. Our parents, the school and all our teachers have convinced us that there is no God. Is there any Hope? Who will save us from this broken and ugly world!?" And this is exactly what is inside their precious and broken hearts just before the shoot up a school or try to assassinate a US President. At the rate we are going it's going to get much worse. Trust me, we haven't seen the worst of what our children are capable of doing! (And taking their guns away won't change a thing. They will go to all sorts of trouble to get our attention with or without the guns.) As we, adults and leaders and mentors and teachers and celebrities and politicians, all choose to fight and hate and rage and war against each other, as the rhetoric devolves further into only vengeance and disgust - the kids will react, in great desperation and despair. And Why? Simply because they don't know what else to do.... They are just that hopeless. We aren't losing the heart and soul of the nation - we lost it a while ago. The question that remains is, can we revive the little bit of light that remains in America? Can we awaken something to beauty and light and splendor that is so far gone!? God knows. I have hope when I see the very few out among us who are giving all they have to love. And it is a very few... But their light does shine!! Love them, friends. It's not that hard to love, it often even feels good. When your heart starts to get angry or afraid, pay attention. Forgive those you need to forgive, learn to empty out your anger in a healthier and more constructive manner. We all get angry but we can not live in anger, it will kill us. We have to save this nation. We have to. For our children's sake. For our children's children's sake. And if we don't save the nation? Who will...? And Saving America won't come from politics. Politics could help along the way but the politics seems to follow more honest and truer forms of leadership. Have we learned nothing over the past 20-30 years!? We must win the heart and soul of the nation... and I have never found anything else that works for saving the soul, but to Love . And what's so bad about love? Why do we refuse it with such contempt and apathy? We must reconsider our unique and individual role in all of this.... For sake of the children... Prayerfully.

  • Old Earth vs. Young Earth: A Conversation Worth Having

When we talk about the age of the Earth, it’s easy to get caught up in scientific arguments or feel overwhelmed by the complexity of the debate. Is the Earth around 6,000 years old, or is it billions of years as mainstream science tells us? This question isn’t just an intellectual exercise—it has deep implications for how we view God, the Bible, and our faith. For some, the idea of a young Earth seems outlandish. “Are you serious?” many might ask. After all, we’ve been told for years that the Earth is billions of years old, backed by scientific data and methods like radiometric dating. But what if we consider another perspective? What if the Earth is much younger, and what if this matters more than we realize? What Evidence Should We Trust? If you're exploring this question, it’s worth asking: how do we determine the age of anything? Much of the evidence that supports an old Earth is based on assumptions—assumptions about the past, conditions we didn’t witness, and processes we can't directly observe. Take radiometric dating, for instance. This method measures the decay of elements but relies on assumptions about the initial amounts of these elements and the constancy of decay rates. Without a clear historical record, how certain can we be? Similarly, processes like erosion, sedimentation, and even the stability of planetary systems raise questions. If our solar system is billions of years old, why do we see moons and rings around planets like Saturn that show signs of a much shorter existence? Could it be that our assumptions are wrong? Why Does It Matter? This isn't just a scientific debate; it’s a matter of faith. What do we believe about the Bible? If the Bible is true—not just in its spiritual teachings but in its historical and scientific claims—then the age of the Earth matters. The Bible tells us that death entered the world through sin. But if we believe that the Earth is millions or billions of years old, we’re accepting that death, suffering, and decay existed long before Adam. How does that align with the message of the gospel? For many believers, this is where the issue becomes personal. Can you trust the Bible’s account of creation? Does it make sense to believe in a God who created a world filled with death and suffering from the beginning? Or does it make more sense that sin brought death into a once-perfect creation? Questions to Reflect On Instead of looking for immediate answers, perhaps it’s more helpful to ask yourself a few questions: - If death and suffering existed for millions of years before humans, how do we reconcile that with the Bible’s portrayal of a loving God? - How does the concept of death before sin affect the message of salvation and the gospel itself? - What does it mean for our faith if we accept the Bible’s account of a recent creation? These are serious questions worth considering, especially if you’ve struggled with reconciling your faith with what you’ve been taught about the world’s age. The Bible tells us not only about our spiritual lives but also about the history of the Earth. If it can be trusted in one area, can’t it be trusted in others? This conversation isn’t about forcing a conclusion or overwhelming anyone with arguments. Instead, it’s about inviting you to think deeply. If you believe in the Bible’s authority, then the age of the Earth isn’t just a side issue—it affects how you understand God’s character, the nature of sin, and the purpose of Jesus’ death. The Bible presents God as the Creator who was there from the very beginning. If we can trust Him as the author of creation, can’t we trust Him with the details of our lives too? Whatever you believe about the age of the Earth, this is an opportunity to explore your faith more deeply. It’s a chance to reflect on what the Bible says, what you’ve been taught, and what you believe about God’s plan for the world. After all, if the Bible is true, we have nothing to fear in pursuing these questions. • Did Jesus Start a New religion?

by AR Press Staff Sept 2nd 2024 "Of all the things Jesus did while on the earth as a man", says author and Senior Editor, Robert Anthony, "He certainly never started a new religion." Jesus was a Jew. Never, not once, did Jesus tell His disciples who were technically His friends, to stop being Jewish. He never once told them to separate themselves from their families or culture or nation and become something altogether different. And we must remember, the followers of Christ, even the Gentile ones , were all considered a sect of Judaism for some 200 years following Jesus' death and resurrection! So it begs the question, what happened? How did Christianity become what it is today? An obvious and recognizable religion, arguably the largest one on the earth!? This question, how did it happen , requires some study of history and some real critical thinking. A very important part of the story is to learn about the division that started rather early on between the Gentile followers and Christ and the Jewish followers. Christianity was spreading like wildfire all throughout the Roman Empire, much faster than it was spreading in Jewry, perhaps hundreds of times faster! But the founding members of Jesus' message were all Jews from the Promised Lands of God, all of the original teachers of Jesus' gospel were of course Jews. And another division was created over the Jews desire to keep their customs, feasts, traditions and Mosaic law but even while they followed the principals of Christ - this dynamic was already taking shape even while they were writing the Bible! In Galatians we learn that Paul had to correct Peter in Jerusalem because Peter was teaching the law mingled together with the gospel of Jesus the Messiah. It seems clear that as this division between the Gentile believers and Israeli believers widened, so Christianity emerged more clearly as a stand alone religion, outside of Judaism. But then came the founding of the Roman Catholic Church by Emperor Constantine. Then, all throughout the Holy Roman Empire, this new and obvious religion rose to great prominence on the world stage, ready to rule European kingdoms, politics and culture for some 1,000 plus years! But considering that the founding of the religion of Christianity was actually some three hundred years after Christ, it really does provoke the question, "Did Jesus intend to start a new religion?" Religion is actually somewhat a confusing word. For some, asking about religion, they perhaps want to know what is a persons belief system. For others, when asking about religion, they are referring to the denomination or organization to which a person affiliates. The Bible, on the other hand, loosely defines religion as actions or duties by which one lives out their faith. Like in James, Chapter 1 verse 27, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and  to keep himself unspotted from the world." Certainly Jesus knew what He would accomplish in His ministry and life's work! But did He desire for Christianity to become the religion in which it has today? To this we must return to the scriptures and even His own words to understand better, just what was Jesus wanting His friends and disciples to spread out to the world? When someone considers religion they are often going to think of a few fundamentals: a belief system and set of principals to live by, a teacher or teachers to lead the way, even to lead the people, almost always some land and buildings of some sort and finally names: names of sects, names of famous teachers, names of buildings and icons, famous names and titles throughout said religion and its history. Every religion on earth functions with these same basic foundations. Judaism has their Talmud and rabbinical law, they have the law of Moses but also centuries of teaching from their other religious authorities along the way. Islam has of course the Quran but also hundreds of years of teachings from their other respected leaders throughout their near 1500 year past. Hindi's, Sikh's, Buddhist's, etc. all have their original text handing to them their belief system but then a myriad of other teachers building upon what began. Jews have synagogues, Muslim's have Mosque's, Buddhist's and the various others have temples... and Christians have their churches? Or do they (we)? (Was this given to us, these churches?) I would argue that all religion adheres to the same general fundamentals except for Christianity! I would argue that while all other religion falls in line with the same fundamentals, Christianity, at least what was taught by its founder, Jesus the carpenter from Nazareth, functions in stark contrast. Let me explain: For hundreds of years there was no recognizable ruler of Christianity, no buildings were established in the name of its founder, not for hundreds of years, there were various teachers all adhering to this same spiritual way of living in which God was to be both ruler and teacher, Lord and Savior, Supreme . Jesus even went out of His way to teach to His disciples, DO NOT RULE THEM! (He said, "This is what the Gentiles do. But you must not.") And it's in all the gospels! Matthew 20:24-28, Mark 10:35-45 and Luke 22:24-27. Jesus taught them to serve and not to ever lord over them! Jesus never built a building, never created a new name (of His religion) on the earth, never appointed a successor or authority to take His place and He never wrote anything down (that we know of)!! Have we really ever considered this!? In all our Bible Colleges, Seminaries, Christian Television Programs and millions of Church buildings throughout the world... Have we ever just stopped to consider, plainly, Jesus did it totally different than we do . It's easy to refer to Christianity as a religion today. It has all the markings of a religion, the same as every other religion on the earth.... But this is clearly not what Jesus taught to His friends, who became Apostles (all except for Judas, the betrayer). His Apostles never taught us religion either, they never built a building, they never appointed a ruler, instead they had various leaders serving a variety of roles without something that resembled more of a family, rather than a religion: the Bible even teaches, in Titus 2, that the older men should teach the younger and the older women likewise . Sounds less and less like a religion and more and more like a family the more I read the New Testament. Jesus said, "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you." (John 15:15) And He never ruled them. Instead He loved them until His very painful and horrific death upon the cross, even though everyone left Him to suffer and die alone, He loved them until the end. Thought provoking to consider these things. So what became of us, Christians ? How did we become something so organizational and hierarchical, something so religious, like every other religious tradition upon the earth!? Rereading the book of Acts, as the church was starting, there remains still no religion in that book, The Holy Bible . Even the Jews were never a religion, not until much much later in their history - but they were a family - simply a family from the start. What has become of us? And how did we become this Christianity, what we are known for today? Probably worth considering... Definitely worth praying about... "Lord, what happened to us? And what do we do about it now!?" ((Our Senior Editor, Robert Anthony, often tells the story about how God woke him up in the middle of the night, more than 20 years ago and whispered into him, "Robert, I never started a religion." This revelation changed Robert's life in such profound and lasting ways - so much so he left the successful life he had in business and became a missionary. Robert traveled to some 15+ nations and 40+ US States learning from the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, preaching the things God gave to him - and eventually wrote his story down in a book, called, "Jesus did not Start a Religion". • Was The First Church Found?

In the annals of history, few places hold as much significance for Christianity as Mount Zion in Jerusalem. It is here, according to tradition, that the first organized church was born—a humble beginning that would soon echo across nations, shaping the spiritual lives of millions. To understand the origins of this sacred site, we must journey back to the early days following Christ's ascension. The Upper Room: A Sacred Meeting Place The story begins in the Upper Room, the very place where Jesus shared His Last Supper with His disciples. This room, located on Mount Zion, is also where the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles during the feast of Pentecost, an event recorded in the Book of Acts: "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting" (Acts 2:1-2). This moment marked the birth of the Christian Church, as the apostles, filled with the Holy Spirit, began to speak in tongues, spreading the Gospel to the diverse crowds gathered in Jerusalem. The news of this miraculous event spread quickly, drawing thousands to the newfound faith. On that day alone, Scripture tells us that about 3,000 people were baptized, a testament to the powerful work of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:41). This is the open area where supposedly 3,000 people got saved. Credit: YouTube: DDdktsDJTiM The First Christian Congregation As the church grew, the apostles needed a place to gather and teach the burgeoning community of believers. However, due to the persecution of Christians, they could not openly build a church. Instead, they gathered in secret, and it is believed that one such gathering place was hidden beneath Mount Zion. This underground location, known as the Primitive Church of Jerusalem, is thought to have been a mikvah—a Jewish ritual bath—that was repurposed by early Christians for their meetings. The view from the entrance of the Promitive Church. Credit: YouTube: DDdktsDJTiM The apostles' decision to remain in Jerusalem, as Jesus had commanded them (Acts 1:4), led to the establishment of the first Christian congregation in history. Here, they preached, prayed, and broke bread together, as described in the Book of Acts: "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers" (Acts 2:42). Despite the constant threat of persecution, this small but dedicated community persevered. The apostle Peter, in his first sermon after Pentecost, declared the resurrection of Jesus Christ to the crowds, standing near the tomb of King David: "Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day" (Acts 2:29). This bold proclamation further fueled the growth of the early church, attracting more converts and spreading the Christian message throughout the city. Deep inside the Promitive Church of Jerusalem. Credit: YouTube: UbGMaSQadMU The Persecution and Survival of the Early Church The early Christian community in Jerusalem faced severe persecution, particularly under the Roman Emperor Nero, who infamously blamed Christians for the great fire of Rome in 64 AD. Despite these hardships, the church endured, even surviving the destruction of Jerusalem and its temple in 70 AD. This resilience is a testament to the faith and determination of the early Christians, who found solace in Jesus' promise: "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:10). Following the Roman persecution, the early Christian community in Jerusalem received a revelation that the city would face catastrophic destruction. They fled to Pella in Perea, escaping the devastation and preserving the nascent church. After the city's fall, the community returned to Mount Zion, where they continued to meet in secret until the Edict of Milan in 313 AD, which legalized Christianity and ended the persecution. The Legacy of the First Church The significance of the first church on Mount Zion cannot be overstated. It was here that the apostles laid the foundation for what would become a global faith, spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ to the far corners of the earth. The Gospel, which began in this small, secret congregation, would go on to transform lives across nations, fulfilling the words of the prophet Isaiah: "For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem" (Isaiah 2:3). In the centuries that followed, churches were built on the holy sites of Jerusalem, including the magnificent Byzantine church that once stood next to the Primitive Church of Jerusalem. Although the original structures have long since been destroyed, recent archaeological discoveries have unearthed remnants of these ancient buildings, offering a glimpse into the rich history of Christianity's earliest days. For modern Christians, a pilgrimage to Mount Zion is more than just a journey to a historical site; it is a spiritual return to the roots of their faith. It is a place where the stories of the apostles, the descent of the Holy Spirit, and the birth of the church converge, reminding believers of the humble beginnings from which their faith has grown. As Eusebius of Caesarea, an early Christian author, wrote in 312 AD: "This is the word of the Gospel that by our Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles came out of Zion and was spread to all nations. It is a fact that it poured out from Jerusalem and the Mount Zion adjacent to it." Indeed, the legacy of the first church on Mount Zion is a powerful reminder that the Christian faith, born in humility and perseverance, continues to inspire and guide millions around the world today. This sacred site, where the Holy Spirit first descended upon the apostles, remains a beacon of hope and a symbol of the origins of Christianity, inviting believers to reflect on their spiritual heritage and the unwavering commitment of the early church. As we remember the birth of the church in Jerusalem, we are reminded of the words of Jesus: "Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18). And so it was, on Mount Zion, that the church was born, and from there, it has continued to flourish, spreading the message of love, redemption, and eternal life to all corners of the world. • They are Grabbing Men off the Streets in Ukraine and Throwing them into War!

by Robert Anthony August 31st 2024 ( Warning: Disturbing Videos. Not for children's eyes. ) If you have been following me on the subject, I have not hidden the fact that I see this as Putin's war. He invaded a sovereign nation, therefore the brunt of the blame must remain on the aggressor. Without a doubt he had other options but chose this. Period. There is no wiggling out of this simple fact: Putin invaded a sovereign nation and has caused unbelievable amounts of pain and suffering. They estimate it could be over a 1,000,000 dead total so far from this war. But as the saying goes, "Two wrongs do not make a right." What Zelensky's Ukraine is doing to their civilian population is a tyrannical nightmare. "President Zelensky, Dear Sir, Im not trying to offend. But if you want to convince the world that you fight for democracy and freedom!? You must take care how you are fighting to defend your nation. I realize it is easy to criticize from the comfort of my American suburb. But Im trying to be your friend and a friend to Ukraine. You are going to absolutely destroy the already fragile morale of your nation. You must come up with another plan - you must come up with a plan the provokes and inspires morale, unity and true Patriotism! Its a very hard job you have. But you must not allow this policy anymore. I will pray for you now." This videos shows Ukrainian military and police - pulling civilian men off the streets and sending them to war! • The Shroud of Turin: A Powerful Testament to the Resurrection of Christ

Face of Jesus recreated from the Shroud of Turin. The Shroud of Turin is one of the most intriguing and debated artifacts in Christian history. Believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ, this linen cloth, measuring about 3 feet wide and 13 feet long, bears the faint image of a man who was brutally crucified. For those who love Jesus, this shroud is more than just an ancient relic; it’s a tangible connection to the suffering, death, and resurrection of our Savior. La Marzulli, a dedicated student of the Shroud and a Christian for over 44 years, has spent much of his life researching this fascinating object. His journey with the Shroud began early in his faith when he stumbled upon a book in a Christian bookstore. Instantly drawn to it, he devoured the book in one sitting, and from that moment, he became an "amateur sindonologist"—a student of the Shroud. The Shroud of Turin presents the image of a man in rigor mortis who has endured unimaginable suffering. The scourging depicted on the Shroud is so brutal that it takes one's breath away—not because of its artistry, but because of the sheer horror it represents. This man, believed to be Jesus, was beaten nearly to death before being nailed to the cross. The wounds visible on the Shroud show that the nails were driven through the wrists, not the palms, as many traditional depictions suggest. This detail aligns with what we know about Roman crucifixion practices, where the nails were placed in the wrists to support the weight of the body. One of the most compelling aspects of the Shroud is the controversy surrounding its authenticity. In 1978, a team of scientists from the Shroud of Turin Research Project (STURP) examined the cloth for 120 hours, taking thousands of photographs. One of the most significant tests was the Carbon-14 dating conducted in 1988, which dated the Shroud to the 15th century, leading many to label it a forgery. However, recent findings have cast doubt on this conclusion. The test was performed on a single section of the Shroud, which was later discovered to have been repaired by nuns in the 15th century using a technique called "invisible reweaving." This repair skewed the Carbon-14 results, making the Shroud appear younger than it actually is. La Marzulli points out that this finding aligns with new research that dates the Shroud back to the time of Christ. This is significant because no one has been able to reproduce the Shroud’s image, which appears as a photographic negative—a fact first discovered by photographer Secundo Pia in 1898. The image on the Shroud is not a painting; there are no brush strokes, and the image seems to "fall off into nothing," as La Marzulli describes. This uniqueness has baffled scientists and researchers for decades. The Shroud's image was likely formed in a moment of unimaginable power—the resurrection of Jesus. La Marzulli shares a compelling theory suggested by the late Dame Isabel Piczek, a renowned muralist and particle physicist. She believed that at the moment of resurrection, time and space as we know it stopped. The body of Jesus was lifted off the slab, and the Shroud was pulled taut, capturing the image of His body in a burst of light as He dematerialized. This moment is what many believe left the image on the Shroud—a divine snapshot of the resurrection. For believers, the Shroud of Turin is more than just a relic; it’s a "calling card" from God, providing forensic proof of the most significant event in history—the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Shroud not only confirms the physical reality of Christ's suffering but also serves as a powerful testament to His victory over death. Despite the ongoing debates and skepticism surrounding the Shroud, it remains a profound symbol of faith for millions. As La Marzulli emphasizes, the Shroud is studied more than any other artifact on the planet, and with good reason. It represents the intersection of faith and science, a point where believers can glimpse the reality of the crucifixion and resurrection. In the end, the Shroud of Turin invites us to look beyond the surface, to see the deeper truth it holds—a truth that has the power to strengthen our faith and draw us closer to the heart of the Gospel. Whether or not one accepts the Shroud as the genuine burial cloth of Jesus, its mystery and the story it tells continue to inspire awe and devotion among those who love Christ. • Pray for our Contributing Author Tony Nastas!

UPDATED AUGUST 28th 2024 By Robert Anthony August 28th Updates: Tony continues to battle with the military and court system. It very well could be he is the only Christian in Ukraine lawfully fighting with the military and court system for his constitutional right for conscientious objection. What is amazing is that they still have not hauled him off to war! Remember everyday the Ukrainian military to taking men right off the streets and throwing them into their war with Russia, sometimes as quickly as 72 hours after nabbing them from their lives and families!? We have been praying fervently, and I appreciate you all who have also been praying for our dear brother!! Pastor Tony has offered to perform dozens of other services for the military effort, just not a service that involved killing another human being - but thus far all of his efforts have come to no avail. Today in court they threatened to turn him over to the police, threatening jail time, fines and more. But what is amazing is that they still have not forcibly hauled him off to the front-lines! God seems to be hearing our prayers! Let's continue!! Next Pastor Tony is slated to appear, again, in court within the next week or two. Pray that the military and their threats come to no avail for our dear brother. Thank you. Robert (Senior Editor, AR Press) Original Article: Under Ukrainian law, as clearly defined in the Ukrainian constitution, Tony Nastas has the right to be a conscientious objector for reasons of his religion. Tony has been a long time minister and pastor, his family actually had an underground printing facility wherein they were printing and distributing Bibles and other Christian literature during the Soviet reign in Ukraine. As we explained in previous articles , the Ukrainian military is actively grabbing men off the streets and throwing them into the war. Usually these men don't even have a moment to say goodbye to their families - often within mere days, without training, they are thrust into the fighting, even on the front-lines!? Tony has already been to court and presented the Ukrainian laws before the judge and the military (looking to his constitution for his rights) but they seem content to trample their own laws, upset with Brother Tony and pushing to have him shipped off to war - they have already ruled against him once, another hearing is being scheduled. But the more troubling hearing is coming up soon: on the 28th of August Brother Tony will stand before something like a military hearing and a military officer will judge what they will do with him. When the military came to Tony's court proceedings they were clearly upset, even referencing jail time for Tony! Remember, the nation of Ukraine is locked down. Women and children can leave but no men, unless a man has very specific papers allowing him to exit Ukraine. So many men have tried to escape the country, crossing rivers and mountains to do so. There are estimates that more than 60 men have already been shot and killed trying to escape this dystopian nightmare. This war is tearing apart families, putting the world on the brink of a global catastrophe, WW3 could very easily be unfolding, even as I write these words, Ukraine's nuclear power plant is under duress and millions have already died because of this lingering war. Putin invaded a sovereign nation. This is the simple fact. Do the nations stand idly by while Putin forcibly takes Ukraine? Even after Clinton and our USA convinced Ukraine to give up their nukes after the fall of the Soviet Union... promising Ukraine that we would come to their aid should Russia invade? Make no mistake of it, this war is a terrible situation filled with unspeakable horrors and this was Putin's decision. Putin has the power to end this war and stop the killing, Putin has the power to prevent my friend Tony from getting thrown on to the front lines or into prison. Zelensky, Biden, Soros, Schwab, etc. although we might not agree with their policies or politics, these men have little to do with ending this war. Pray for my friend Tony. Pray or Ukraine. Pray for the innocent lives being lost on both sides! Russia has also grabbed a countless many men off the streets in their compulsory draft and thrown them to the front lines! And as ugly as this already is, it seems like its about to get uglier! Ukraine just sent an army into Russia and took Russian territory! When ever has Russia backed down from a fight!? Pray that this war ends. Pray for my friend Tony that they do not send him to the front lines this Friday, Pray that they uphold their own laws! Thank you friends. • May Be It’s Time For a Little "Good Cop/Bad Cop"

by AR Press Staff Aug 24th 2024 Robert Anthony joined Laura Lynn Tyler Thompson during VP Kamala Harris' speech at the DNC Convention. They covered the event but also discussed if this could actually be the end of this world that the Bible predicted some 2,000 years ago. Robert brings up two articles on the show: " The Prophecy of Ezekiel Fulfilled: Life returns to the Dead Sea " and " The Euphrates River is Drying Up " and why is a sign of the end of the age! Towards the end of the program they discuss how we are to live in this crazy world as God's people. Politics being such a mess, the world practically at war, how do we navigate such a world like this? They have a very good conversation on the topic. If you only have time to watch the last 30-40 minutes. It's hard to watch the DNC Convention, towards the end of the interview Laura Lynn and Robert have a powerful discussion. • Armageddon - City Built for War!

What is Megiddo? Megiddo, also known as Armageddon, is more than just an ancient city—it is a symbol of war, conflict, and prophecy. Situated at a strategic crossroads that linked Africa, Asia, and Europe, this land has been the stage for countless battles throughout history. From the Egyptians and Canaanites to the Israelites, Greeks, Romans, and beyond, many empires have fought over Megiddo. The question that arises is, why has this specific location seen so much bloodshed? The answer lies in its strategic importance as a key connection point between the great empires of the ancient world. A City Built for War Megiddo’s history is one of continuous destruction and reconstruction, with 26 layers of cities built on top of each other, each layer representing another era of conquest and conflict. This is a city literally built for war, with each generation fortifying it against new enemies. As you walk through the ruins of Megiddo today, you are stepping on the remnants of civilizations that go back thousands of years. Pottery shards, often scorched by the fires of destruction, are scattered across the site, silent witnesses to the city’s violent past. The Bible records Megiddo’s significance as a military stronghold. After King David’s conquests, his son, King Solomon, fortified Megiddo along with other key cities in Israel. “And this is the reason for the labor force which King Solomon raised: to build the house of the Lord, his own house, the Millo, the wall of Jerusalem, Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer” (1 Kings 9:15, NKJV). The gates of Megiddo, uncovered by archaeologists, reveal the meticulous planning that went into the city’s defenses, with six chambers designed to hold soldiers ready to defend the city at a moment’s notice. The Strategic Importance of Megiddo Tel Megiddo, an artificial mound formed by the layers of destroyed cities, is believed to have been founded around 7,000 years ago. One of its most remarkable structures is the Great Temple, a Canaanite temple over 4,300 years old, featuring a large circular altar. This altar, surrounded by corridors filled with animal bones, indicates the city’s role as a center for religious and possibly sacrificial rites. The strategic significance of Megiddo cannot be overstated. Its location on the Via Maris, the ancient trade route that connected Egypt to Mesopotamia, made it a coveted prize for any empire seeking control over trade and military movements in the region. Whoever controlled Megiddo controlled the wealth and power flowing through the ancient world. Military Constructions in Megiddo Megiddo’s military might was not just in its walls but also in its ability to field a large and powerful army. Archaeological evidence shows that the city housed stables for hundreds of horses, which were essential for its cavalry, the most advanced military technology of its time. Whether these stables were built by King Solomon or King Ahab, as some debate, their existence underscores the city’s role as a military powerhouse. The Bible provides a glimpse into Megiddo’s importance during Solomon’s reign. The fortified gates, discovered during excavations, match the descriptions given in the scriptures, confirming the city’s role in Israel’s defense network. The strategic planning evident in these gates, designed to funnel and trap attackers, reflects the city’s perpetual readiness for battle. Although Megiddo was eventually abandoned and lies in ruins today, its legacy as a city built for war continues to echo through history. The last destruction of Megiddo likely occurred around 350 BC during the Persian period, and it was never rebuilt. However, the site remains a powerful symbol of military and strategic significance, even in modern times. The most compelling aspect of Megiddo’s story, however, is its prophetic significance. When the Apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation, he identified Armageddon—Megiddo—as the gathering place for the final battle between good and evil. Revelation 16:16 states, “And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.” This prophecy points not just to the physical site of Megiddo but to the great and final conflict that will take place in the valley surrounding this ancient city. The Spiritual Significance of Megiddo Megiddo’s story is one of war, destruction, and prophecy. It serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle between good and evil, a conflict that is both physical and spiritual. As Christians, we must understand the significance of Armageddon, not with fear, but with a sense of purpose and readiness. The prophecy of Armageddon is a call to vigilance, urging us to live in anticipation of Christ’s return, when He will ultimately triumph over evil and establish His eternal kingdom. In this light, Megiddo is not just an ancient ruin—it is a symbol of God’s sovereignty and the ultimate victory of good over evil. As we reflect on the history and prophecy of Megiddo, let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” The battle is real, but so is the victory that is promised to those who stand firm in their faith. • Why the Israel-Hamas War Will Continue, Pt 1

By Robert Anthony December 4th 2023 (Originally Published at The Western Journal ) The Jews started returning to Israel in the mid-1800s from Europe. Zionism was born, and a remnant within Judaism saw it as their God-given responsibility to inhabit the land given to their forefathers. It is very important to understand that, as the Jews started returning, they were welcomed! There were no “Palestinian” people warring against them. That did not exist. There were an indigenous and transient people living in the Holy Land coming from Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, etc., they were Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Druze, etc. The story is extremely different than what the left-wing news media pretends. The Jews brought with them resources — money, business connections, trade agreements and more — as they returned to their Promised Land. And a very important part of the story that is never told is that Jerusalem and most of Israel in the mid-1800s was a pile of dust! The famous Mark Twain visited Israel in 1867 and commented, “Many are Israel’s forsaken places, and great is the desecration. The more sacred the place, the greater the devastation it has suffered. Jerusalem is the most desolate place of all.” The Jews were welcomed to this forgotten and desolate Promised Land simply because no one in the world was interested in it! (Here is a great article about it that goes into much more detail.) For some 60 years, the European Jews returned to Israel without conflict or strife. They were buying lands and conducting business, and everyone was getting along. And then came the fall of the Turkish Ottoman Empire after World War I. The British came to rule most of the lands of the fallen empire, which included Israel. As history shows, under British rule all the strife between the religious groups began. This contention reached a boiling point after World War II. It is very important to understand that no one wanted the Jews after World War II (and very hard for me to write that sentence). Even our own famed FDR cut off immigration far, far below quota to prohibit the hurting European Jews from coming to America. Why? It’s hard to understand why he would do this… until you study who was around FDR and their anti-Semitic sentiments. Then the British shut off immigration to the Holy Land. The war was won, the Holocaust was over, but the Jews had no home to which to return. These events triggered a war in Israel between the Jews and the British. The Muslim Palestinians were aligned with the British and also went to war with the Jews over control of the Holy Land. After the Jews fought for and won their independence from the British and Muslim Palestinians, many of the Muslims left the Holy Land for Egypt. Clearly, by the early 1950s, the Muslim Palestinians from British Mandate Palestine had developed a formalized leadership. Now in Egypt, they created a formal partnership with the Muslim Brotherhood and started to terrorize their host country. In the mid-1960s, the Muslim Palestinian leadership, now basically expelled from Egypt, went to Syria and began terrorizing them. In 1968-70, the Muslim Palestinian leadership triggered a civil war in Jordan, attempting to topple their host Hashemite regime. In 1970-82, the Muslim Palestinian leadership started a series of civil wars in Lebanon, aiming to take over that host country. In 1990, the Muslim Palestinian leadership collaborated with Saddam Hussein’s invasion and plunder of Kuwait, which was for decades the most generous Arab host of 400,000 Palestinians. Israel is fighting a people group that has been content to be at war with every nation in which it has lived for about 80 years. The Many Factors Working Against Peace in Israel It has been the policy of the West to throw money at this problem since its inception. First, the UN developed refugee camps throughout Israel for the overwhelmingly Muslim Palestinians. Since then, aid by the billions has been pouring into Israel but also given directly to the Muslim Palestinians. In fact, so much aid has poured in that it has made an elite group of Muslims rich beyond their wildest dreams! It is estimated that the three leaders of Hamas are worth a combined total of $8 billion! Why would anyone want peace in a world that pays so much for conflict? Take away this aid money and what economy is left in the West Bank and Gaza? The sad but honest answer is very little. The West Bank and Gaza could produce so much with access to ports, shipping, arable lands, abundance of water, etc. But they choose instead to pour untold fortunes into amassing for themselves an arsenal, with underground fortresses to boot. What nation in the world would want to take the risk of hosting such a people? We see this complexity playing out right now in Egypt and Jordan. Both countries have shut their borders and refused refugee immigration from their fellow Muslims. Obviously. Egypt was already nearly toppled by the Palestinians — Jordan too! If Iran cares so much about the suffering of the Muslim Palestinians, why doesn’t it open its borders to them? Turkey also! To date, there is not one Muslim nation running to open its doors to these warring peoples. It seems history has taught the Middle East to fear their Muslim brothers from what was once British Mandate Palestine. One Nation Has Been Compassionate Toward the Palestinians The truth is, the Israeli people have been the most generous, kind and compassionate nation toward the Palestinians since the beginning. Ever since the mid-1800s, these indigenous people who were living in British Mandate Palestine have been increasingly blessed by Israel! There is no telling what they could have created over these 80 years with all that wealth — billions gifted to them from the nations! Just imagine the cities and economies they could have built alongside the Israeli Jews! There was peace off and on over the years between Israel and those Muslims living in Gaza and the West Bank. Many of these Muslims immigrated successfully into Israel and Israeli culture. I have lived in Israel and the West Bank and have seen with my own eyes Muslims, Christians and Jews living side by side and getting along just fine. To this day, East Jerusalem is mostly Muslim. It was by and large peaceful until recently. In fact, I lived in East Jerusalem with the Muslims for a short time. Only within the past 10 years has it devolved into such strife and terrorism. The politics of the Muslim Brotherhood coming to capture Gaza along with other complexities within Muslim Palestinian politics seem to have changed this once-working relationship for good. And now, with the Hamas massacre of some 1,400 Israelis (mostly civilians — elderly, women and children), there will remain pain and strife for years to come. Here is a link to Part Two

  • 'Miracle': Muslim Men in Gaza Seek Christ After Over 200 Dream of Jesus on Same Night - Report

By Guest Contributor, Ole Braatelien Originally Published Nov 18 2023 by The Western Journal More than 200 Muslim men in Gaza have converted to Christianity after reportedly seeing Jesus in their dreams, said Christian professor Michael Licona. Licona teaches New Testament studies at Houston Christian University and has also written a number of books , including “The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus” and “Paul Meets Muhammad.” In a recent Facebook post , Licona said he received a report from “underground Christian ministries” in the Middle East that detailed the miraculous conversions. “God is working in the midst of war!” his post began. He then quoted the report from the ministries. “Over the past two days, we have ministered to hundreds of fathers who have lost most, if not all, of their children in the war. As we moved these men to safety, we fed them, washed their clothes, and began to read the Bible to them — sharing the way of peace through Jesus. “Then, a big miracle happened. Last night, Jesus appeared to more than 200 of them in their dreams! They have come back to us to learn more from God’s Word and are asking how to follow Jesus,” the report said. Licona then voiced his own stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict. “I side with Israel in this war; not necessarily for theological reasons but because Hamas and those backing it are pure evil,” Licona said. “Yet, I know that not all Palestinians support Hamas. In fact, they will be punished severely if even suspected of not supporting Hamas. Let’s pray that this war can be over soon and that Israel can eradicate Hamas so that Palestinians can be free … of Hamas!” This isn’t the first report of such dreams affecting Muslims. About a month before the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack, Assemblies of God News reported that Muslims around the world were dreaming of Jesus and converting to Christianity at an unprecedented rate. “I would even say it’s the normal experience,” said Dick Brogden, a missionary for the Assemblies of God , a Pentecostal Christian organization. “It would be accurate to say that Muslims are responding to Jesus in levels we have never seen, not in 1,400 years!” Brogden also noted the importance of dreams for evangelism. “Dreams are contributing to revelation … the process of evangelism and conversion,” Brogden said. “So many Muslims reject Islam, but know that to follow Jesus will cost them everything. Dreams of Jesus encourage them along the way and give them the comfort that Jesus will be with them — though it cost them everything to follow Him.”
